Vintage vibrant red roses botanical print representing a variety of red rose called Champs Elysées, like the famous Paris avenue. This particular species of rose is from the Meilland family and was created in 1957. It won a gold medal in Madrid in 1957. It is a very robust rosebush, resistant to maladies and cold.
This vibrant vintage floral print is a reproduction of a watercolor by Anne-Marie Trechslin, a Swiss painter internationally recognized for her flowers and animals. This antique rose print was found in an out-of-print 1962 French Swiss book named "Roses". These French vintage floral illustrations would make a perfect wall hanging for a roses lover. You can also use them for your own scrapbooking or collage projects.
