French vintage anatomy reprint of a plate from a lovely old book entitled "Prévenir et guérir", which translates to "To prevent and to heal" in French. This book was published in 1950 and was primarily destined for housewives, who were considered at the time as the first medical healers when doctors might not be readily accessible.
This particular page was entitled "Maladies des voies urinaires", which means "Urinary tract diseases". It shows the urinary tract organs affected by various diseases, accompanied on the outside of the anatomy drawing by the main healing plants which are traditionally believed to help with the urinary system. The diseases and plants are listed at the bottom.
The page cage from the Homeopathy section of the book but the word was used more in the Naturopathy sense than in the modern one.
