1970 Western Spanish Ibex Print

● If you've hiked in Spain, you've maybe had the chance to see them... the emblematic and fascinating Bouquetin de la Sierra de Gredos or Western Spanish Ibex, Capra pyrenaica victoriae. This lovely little vintage ibex print shows a pair of ibexes. These wild goats are renowned for their ability to climb the sheerest cliffs.
This wonderful book page comes from a French Swiss book published in 1970 called "Mammals of Europe", illustrated by the famous French naturalist Paul Barruel. Barruel's animal paintings are so lifelike !
