1970 Black & brown Rat Print by Paul Barruel

● Lovely vintage rat print. This rodent illustration is a book page from a book French Swiss book published in 1970 "Mammifères d'Europe", which means Mammal of Europe, illustrated by  the famous French painter and naturalist Paul Barruel.   It shows two species of rats, the black rat and the most popular brown rat or surmulot, which has so many other names it's impossible to cite them all.

They are shown here on potatoes.
