Have you been lucky to see those spectacular coastal birds? They are just fascinating! The one in front is a swamphen (poule sultane in French or porphyrio phorphyrio), with its beautiful red beak and legs and the black one in the back is a red-knobbed coot or crested coot (foulque à crête or Fulica cristata Gm). This lovely bird print is a book page from a 1962 out-of-print French bird on nesting birds, illustrated by the fammous French painter and naturalist Paul Barruel.
Frame them and hang them in your home and daydream of your next beach holiday! Perfect for a nursery decor too.
