1962 Frensham Roses botanical print

 Here is a very delicate piece of botanical art: a vintage red roses poster presenting the beautiful burgundy red Frensham roses, a cultivar introduced in 1942 and awarded the RNRS Gold Medal by the Royal National Rose Society  in Britain in 1943.
This beautifully detailed vintage floral print is a reproduction of a watercolor by Anne-Marie Trechslin, a Swiss painter internationally recognized for her flowers and animals. This antique rose print was found in an out-of-print 1962 French Swiss book named "Roses". 

The roses look so real ! Perfect for a French Country wall decor and as that unexpected red touch to pull together your interior.

● The image itself is glued onto the book page along its left edge, making a flap. The underlying page is made of thick white art paper and can serve as a mat. The back is printed as it is a book page. The page is in perfect condition.
