1960 Vintage sandgrouse bird illustration

● Lovely French Vintage bird print from 1961 showing two species of sandgrouse, the pin-tailed sandgrouse (female on top, male in the middle) and the black-bellied sandgrouse at the bottom. The birds are painted at about half of their real size. 
This bird illustration is a book page from a French Swiss book published in 1961 "Oiseaux nicheurs d'Europe", which means "Nesting birds of Europe", illustrated by Paul Barruel.
There is a short French description underneath the image, together with the names in French of the species represented.

This lovely piece of vintage bird art is Ideal for a bird lover or a French classroom, or your own designs. This French vintage bird image would make perfect wall hangings for a bird  lover. You can also use them for your own scrap booking or collage projects.
