1953 Epidendrum Medusae orchid print

This lovey botanical illustration shows the dark purple (almost burgundy) Epidendrum Medusae orchid, called Medusa because of it's snake-like petals. This orchid antique print is from a 1953 out-of-print French book entitled "Orchidées", illustrated with maestria by Walter Linsenmaier.

● 𝗦𝗜𝗭𝗘 : Image approx. 14.3 x 17.8 cm (5.5" x  7"), page approx. 29 x 19 cm (7 1/4" x 11 1/4"), margins included.

● The print is a flap glued onto the book page along its left edge (the actual print is delineated in the second picture). The underlying page is made of art paper and can serve as a mat. The back is printed as this is a book page.

● 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 : You will get a real book page from 1953 that comes from a damaged volume.   The paper is slightly yellowed, as befits its age.

● 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 : Your prints will be sent in a cellophane bag and a cardboard reinforced envelope. Mat and frame are NOT included.
