Page 1 of a pair of algae botanical book plates on botanics, which illustrated the "Algues" article of a 1938 French Quillet dictionary. 
It depicst on both sides of the page the most common types or algae. 

The front shows Laminaria cloustoni. Alaria Esculenta, Sacchoriza bulbosa, Himanthalia lorea, Hostera Marina (a marine plant, not an algae), Laminaria Flexicaulis, chorda filum and Laminaria saccharina. The back shows Fucus serratus, Fucus platycarpus, Fucus vesiculosus, Pelvetia canaliculata, Dictyota dichotoma, Bifurcaria tuberculata, Halidrys siliquosa, Ascophyllum nodosum, Colpomenia sinuosa, Pylayella litoralis, Menogloia vermiculata, Asperococcus bullosus and Cystoseira fibrosa.

𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 : This is not a copy but a genuine dictionary page from 1938, which comes from a damaged volume. The edges of the paper are slightly yellowed but the image itself is in very good condition. This is dictionary paper so it is quite thin.
