Antique cassowary bird print from a 1916 natural history book entitled "Wildlife of the world" by Richard Lydekker. The legend is "Single-wattled Cassowary". Cassowaries are large flightless birds native to the tropical forests of New Guinea, The Moluccas, and northeastern Australia.
The book was illustrated by A. Weczerzick and W. Kuhnert and the printing techniques of the time gives the prints a very soft aspect. This vintage animal illustration would make a perfect wall hanging for an exotic animals lover.
