This lovely piece of rose art represents the bright pink rose Eminence (or Rosa 'Gaxence'), a variety with a strong perfume.

This  floral illustration is a reproduction of a watercolor by Anne-Marie Trechslin, a Swiss painter internationally recognized for the delicacy of her rendering. It was found in an out-of-print 1962 French Swiss book named "Roses".
