Beautiful antique Silver Gull print from a 1916 natural history book entitled "Wildlife of the world", written by naturalist Richard Lydekker and illustrated by A. Weczerzick and W. Kuhnert.
This little vintage print is a chromolithograph and is in very good condition, with a slight yellowing of the paper at the edges. It shows a beautiful Silver Gull flying low over the waves. Silver gulls are the most common gulls of Australia.
The bird is captured in motion, almost with a photographic realism even though this plate was made from a painting.
Frame it and gift it to your favorite seabird lover
