Elegant mouse pad printed with a deliciously retro rendering of a Fascinating 19th century amphibians illustration from a German Brockhaus dictionary plate. This fascinating page showed brightly colored illustrations of exotic frogs and toads.
Among the species shown are Peron's tree frog (Hyla Peronii), the European fire-bellied toad (Bombinator igenus), the African reed frog (hyperolius), the red-headed poison frog (dendrobates fantasticus), the Japanese common toad (Bufo formosus), the tiger-leg monkey frog(phyllomedusa hypochondrialis), the Eurasian Palearctic green toad or the edible frog (Rana esculenta).

This mousepad was made by scanning an original 1894 print at very high resolution. Some of the little printing defects which exist in the originals due to the technologies used at the time were kept, as they are part of the charm of these lovingly handcrafted antique prints.
