This interesting French poster is a reprint creaed from a 1952 French vintage print, which came, strangely enough, from a medical book entitled "Larousse médical".

Why where pigs, sheep and cows included in there? Because at that time, these books were mainly intended for housewives, who were the first healers at times when doctors were not always readily available. The proper management of meat was thus considered an important health issue and so there is a long article is this little dictionary about it.

This poster was made by scanning an original 1952 poster at very high resolution. The images have been carefully edited but some of the printing defects present in the original have been kept as they are an important part of the charm of antique prints.
