1970 Spalax Mole Rat Print by Paul Barruel

● Lovely vintage Spalax print, a species of blind mole rat. This rodent illustration is a book page from a book French Swiss book published in 1970 "Mammifères d'Europe", which means Mammal of Europe. Each page is printed with the French name of the species that are presented, here "Spalax de Hongrie". The authentic watercolor paintings are from the famous French painter and naturalist Paul Barruel and are beautifully detailed. Isn't this little guy cute ? This French vintage mole image would make a perfect wall hanging. You can also use it for your own scrap booking or collage projects.
