1970 Alpine Marmot print

● If you've trekked in the Alps, you've necessarily heard them... and maybe seen them if you're lucky... the emblematic and fascinating marmots! This lovely little vintage marmot print shows a family of marmots, a large ground squirrel which is found in high mountainous ground.

This wonderful book page comes from a French Swiss book published in 1970 called "Mammals of Europe", illustrated by the famous French naturalist Paul Barruel. Barruel's rodent paintings are so lifelike !
