1970 Alpine Ibex with Babies Print

● If you've trekked in the Alps, you've maybe had the chance to see them... the emblematic and fascinating Bouquetin des Alpes or Alpine Ibex. This lovely little vintage ibex print shows a family of ibexes with babies, 3 of them standing and one lying down on a rock. They are famous for being excellent climbers, hanging onto the tiniest rocks in the middle of high cliff faces.
This wonderful book page comes from a French Swiss book published in 1970 called "Mammals of Europe", illustrated by the famous French naturalist Paul Barruel. Barruel's animal paintings are so lifelike !
