● Lovely French vintage bird poster, showing 4 species of lark birds at about 2/3 of their real life size: the Thekla's lark (Cochevis de Thékla), the Crested lark (Cochevis huppé), the Dupont's lark (Sirli the Dupont) and the horned lark (alouette hausse-col).
This vintage small birds print is a book page from a French Swiss book published in 1961 "Oiseaux nicheurs d'Europe", which means "Nesting birds of Europe", illustrated by Paul Barruel. There is a short French description underneath the image, explaining the peculiarity of each species.
This lovely piece of vintage bird art is perfect at a gift for a bird lover, an ornithologist or a French classroom.
