Lovely dramatic illustration of the Flame Bowerbird (xanthomelus aureus ardens), a tropical bird known mainly in Australia and from a family aparented to the Paradise birds. It's French name is Oiseau-Jardinier doré, which means literally Golden gardener bird.
This vibrant orange bird poster comes from a 1961 French Swiss book "Oiseaux de Paradis et Colibris", which means "Paradise birds and hummingbirds", illustrated by Walter Linsenmaier.

The actual image, the print is glued onto the book page along its left edge, making a flap. The underlying page is made of thick art paper. The back is printed as these are book pages.
