1948 Velodrome Print

 Lovely 1949 vintage cycling poster from a French dictionary of that year. This antique sports print illustrated the "Vélodrome - Cyclisme" article of the dictionary (velodrome - Cycling in French), which is essentially indoors cycling. 
It  shows various stages of cycling races in a velodrome or cycling arena, identified by their description in French at the bottom of the page. For the first time in this series of dictionaries, the images are based on actual photographs rather than drawings. Progress ! The back shows various dictionary articles, illustrated with smaller engravings. A perfect gift for your favorite cyclist ! Would look lovely framed for a sports home decor, an office or a gym.

𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬: You will receive a dictionary page from 1948, extracted from a damaged volume. The edges of the paper are slightly yellowed but the images are in good condition.
