Here is the second of a pair of vintage costume prints showing the evolution of civilian costumes in pastel colors. This one shows costumes from the 17th century Β to the beginning of the 20th century (up to 1925) in France, together with the French name of each style in French. This French vintage illustration comes from a 1936 French Larousse dictionary and is the first page of a pair that illustrates the "Costume" article. The reverse is printed with lovely black and white engravings showing costumes from other continents.
This antique fashion illustration would look lovely framed, for a French fashion vintage home decor. It would also be perfect for your steampunk collages. They also make a great seamstress gift or shop decor.
The second page of this pair, which shows costumes from the 17th century up to the 20th century can be found here.
