Lovely 1921 vintage French dictionary page representing a black and white insects illustration of a kind of moth which usually attacks crops and are usually called loopers. The family is called Noctuelle in French and there's a variety for each vegetable in your kitchen garden: cabbage moth, turnip moth, there's one for every plant.
The illustration shows different life stages of the loopers, from the caterpillar to the fully grown moth.
This antique print was extracted from a 1921 Larousse Agricole French dictionary. The reverse is printed with other dictionary articles.
