Beautiful antique Giant Salamander print from a 1916 natural history book entitled "Wildlife of the world", written by Richard Lydekker and illustrated by A. Weczerzick and W. Kuhnert.
This vintage print is a book page and is in very good condition, with a slight yellowing of the paper at the edges.
It shows the largest living amphibian in the workd, a fully aquatic salamander native to Asia, which can reach 1.8 meter.
The printing techniques of the time (chromolithography) gives the prints a very soft aspect. This vintage animal illustration would make a perfect wall hanging for an exotic animals lover.
