1916 African Chameleon Antique Print

Beautiful little antique chameleon and viper print from a 1916 natural history book entitled "Wildlife of the world" by Richard Lydekker.

This vintage print is a chromolithograph and is in very good condition, with a slight yellowing of the paper at the edges. It shows a specie of wild exotic animal from Africa: the African chalemeon or Sahel chameleon (Chamaeleo africanus).

The book was illustrated by A. Weczerzick and W. Kuhnert and the printing techniques of the time (chromolithography) gives the prints a very soft aspect. This vintage animal illustration would make a perfect wall hanging for an exotic animals lover.
