1902 Antique Cat & Kitten Engraving

Delightful 1902 antique children book plate depicting a cat-themed engraving in blue-green ink. This little illustration is a page from the Scottish 1902 Nister's Holiday Annual book for children.
This particular page illustrated a poem by Lady Constance Arbuthnot entitled Around the world, which talks about kitten playing on a professor's desk and climbing to the top of the world on the globe under the watchful eye of the mother. Look at their little faces. Aren't they cute?

The illustration comes with a second page, onto which the poem is printed.

𝗦𝗜𝗭𝗘: Image approx. 18.3 x 14.4 cm (7 1/4" x 5") including margins, page approx 25 x 20,4 cm (8" x9 3/4").

AUTHENTICITY: What you will receive is a an authentic 1902 engraving, printing on thick cardstock. The paper is yellowed and presents discolorations and there is a little tear in the right margin but the image is in good condition.
