1897 Vintage religious costume poster

Here is a little gem, a vintage religious costumes print. This antique illustration comes from a 1897 French Larousse dictionary. It shows an extensive collection of clerical garments and clothing across history, from that of Assyrian kings to Indian Brahmans, including monks, popes or bishops. The reverse is printed with lovely black and white engravings showing various religious buildings from around the world.

This antique costume illustration would look lovely framed for a religious history fan. It would also be perfect for your collages.
