Fascinating heraldry poster, coming from a very old edition of the Larousse dictionary, the 1897 edition.
The front shows royal and nobility's crowns for France but also for most European countries, including England. The bottom of the page also shows the different shapes of helmets for knights and the ecclesiastic insignia. The crowns and helmets are printed with glitter metallic paint in gold and silver.
The reverse shows necklaces and medals for knights' orders, including the famous Garter order.
Frame it and gift it to your favorite royal historian or heraldic specialist.
𝗦𝗜𝗭𝗘 : page approx. 22 x 31 cm (9" x 12"), image approx. 19,7 x 27 cm (7 7/8" x 10 5/8").
𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 : You will receive a genuine dictionary page from 1897 which comes from a damaged volume. The paper is slightly yellowed, which gives it a lovely antique feeling, but the images are in very good condition. There is a little texture to the page due to the text from the other side being stlightly raised.
𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 : These prints ship in a cellophane bag and a cardboard-reinforced envelope. The mat and frame are NOT included.
