1890 Antique German Dog Breeds Print + Chicken & Wild Fowls

RARE FIND! Here is a fascinating antique animals print, extracted from a 1890 German Pierers dictionary. This little double page was a centerpage and folds in the middle. The center page shows an illustration of dog breeds (dogs are Hund in German), which includes typical breeds such as German Spaniel, Dachshund, St Bernard, Great Dane, Spitz, Bulldog, Poodle or Silk Dog (bichon).

The legend is in German, in a gorgeous Gothic-style font.

There are two other animal illustrations on the other side of the paper : chicken on one side, game fowl on the other.

Frame it in a double-sided reversible frame and gift it to your favorite dog, chicken or bird lover.
